Business need

Wissen was selected by a major global financial services firm to conceptualize and develop a strategic industry standard workflow platform, which integrates seamlessly with multiple client and order management systems. The firm wanted to remove paper and email based processes and bring efficiency in business processes. They also wanted to automate data entry flows and define and track SLAs.

Solution

To achieve these goals, Wissen created a strategic workflow platform using industry standard Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) specifications. Activity, which is an open-source workflow engine, was used to develop this platform. The platform was seamlessly integrated with client onboarding, client data management and order entry systems. Features to track workflow lifecycles and alert users for any SLA breaches were developed. The system allowed automatic integration of data flows, thus eliminating manual data entry.

Benefit

The system eliminated paper and email based processes and approvals and brought efficiency. It allowed business managers to track SLAs of important activities. The system could automatically kick off periodic tasks like KYC and ensure that those are completed on time.
